Timeless
Rain falls tonight as she goes into labor. 
We awaken as she grunts with strain 
and trembles as does the falling rain. 
The baby's coming, we urge her to push more, 
for the baby's bag broke and out water pours. 
Its head is out now, with mama pushing through pain
Babe gasps for air knowing that's all it can gain. 
The baby is born! Mama lies back worn. 
Clear its airway, make sure she's not cold. 
She! It's a girl born from her mother. 
Slippery like soap, sticky like glue. 
Her brother's born next, Mama is through. 
Babies cry and wobble beneath their mother 
and are overjoyed when they nurse her udder. 
Mama and babies sleep in their stall 
Baby goats born as the steady rain falls.

KIDDING SCHEDULE - 2008

We strive for excellence in mammary systems and conformation.   Doe kids out of some first-fresheners are often priced lower.  Does kids out of older dams with proven quality mammary systems are priced higher.  We expect some very high quality kids this year.  We do not quote prices however until we see the kids! 

Kids can be reserved with a deposit if you prefer but we like to do business the "old fashioned way" too -with a word, a handshake or barter.  Please contact us for details at EKritter@aol.com  We reserve the right to offer bucks only when the dam's udder meets our standards. 

*A discount will be given to any 4-H'er who is purchasing a goat for their own dairy goat project.  A letter from the county 4H extension agent stating their participation in a dairy goat project is required to be eligible for the discount.

Almost too nice to wether!  If it were just cute looks alone they would all be bucks!  However we are picky picky picky, when it comes to keeping bucks.  Our wethers get the same quality health and herd management as the rest of our goats.  We know these goats are going to be pets and we want them healthy, sweet and happy!   We offer great breeder support and provide our new goat owners with continuing information and instruction.  Purchase of a quality doe often includes a companion wether at "no charge".
